I am new to Linux. Can please somebody help me?
When I start my laptop I have two choices from which I have to choose:
- Linpus Linux
- Create a bootable USB disk

After I chose Linpus Linux, some checks with "OK" appears on the screen until this message is shown:
Checking root filesystem
fsck.ext3/dev/sda1:
The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2 filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck wich an alternative superblock:
      e2fsck -b 8193 <device>

: Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/sda1

After those checks, it writes:

The complete licence terms can be found in the root directory.
Please type "less /GPL" and "less /COPYRIGHT" to view.
If the system does not get any action every 15 minutes, the system will auto shutdown.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[root@localhost /]#
What am I missing? The Laptop is new, I bought it yestarday.
I really do not know what to do.
As I understand, there are 2 options:
   1.The hard disk is corrupt, which means I have to take it back to the seller
   2.This Linpus does not have a graphic interface and I should install Ubuntu instead
Am I right?
Thank you very much! I would really appreciate the help.
    try option 2 first, Ubuntu is a good choice ( 64 bit version of course)
    I'm not an Acer employee.
    Thank you for the quick answer.
    I will do that and come back with a feedback on the process. If I get stuck, I will post here.
    I solved it.
    I have made a dual boot Windows 10 with Ubuntu. It is perfect.
    As I thought, Acer just installed on the laptop Linpus Linux without the graphic interface.
    Thank you!
