    Hi Geepretty,

I am very sorry to hear that you feel the repair process was not followed properly by the service center, legal laws may vary depending the country. Unfortunately we are unable this type of request thought the Acer community as this is only a peer to peer support community, I can recommend you either calling the Acer local support channel or discussing the options with the main service center (Paco Manila) for better assistance.

Sorry for any inconveniences this may cause,

I went there because my laptop screen is not showing any display last night but the power is still working the LED light is on you can even hear the buzzing sound of the fan inside but on the screen there’s nothing. So the technician opened the bottom part of my laptop where the RAM is located he unplug and replug it brush it and still it’s not working he did it twice the second time he tried it he uses a different RAM and still it didn’t work then all of a sudden he said that it’s wet pointing at the side of my laptop so i told him maybe that the moist in your hands your the only one touching that unit for quite awhile now it is not wet when i gave it to you and it was never not even once that my laptop had an accident with any type of liquid because i’m using it for work and i have to take care of it since i’m still paying for it and why should i waste my time if i know the reason why my laptop is not working i know how warranty works. So he told me that  he need to forward it to the main service center in Paco Manila which may take 3-4 weeks to get it fixed and since he is still assisting other customer i told him that i will be back i will just take my lunch so i was gone for like an hour and when i came back my laptop bottom cover was already removed everything the battery the hard drive the RAM leaving the mother board intact then he went inside together with my laptop then he called me and he opened the mother board and told me that it is wet pointing into some yellowish moist which is more like an oil and it’s only in a very small part of the mother board in the middle so i told him how come that thing happen when everything outside is clear no sign of water damage and how come the wet thing he is pointing is only in visible in a very small part of the mother board and he cannot answer me that and he insist that this will not be covered by the warranty i told him that this is wrong i was just gone for an hour to take my lunch and you even opened my laptop without my presence then you will diagnosed it as water damaged and he respond by blaming me because i left and from there i am getting so upset he didn’t inform me what he is going to do with my laptop because when i left he put the cover back so i was under the impression that he is no longer doing any check up on my laptop and that he is endorsing it to the main service center. The technician is very arrogant and i believe what he did is illegal he opened my property without informing me and without my presence. I am expecting a quick response from your good office on what is the next step i should be doing to get this laptop fixed it is still under warranty the expiration date is June 28, 2020.

This is an ACER users forum just like you. We are not ACER employees. We suggest that you go to this link, enter your machine's serial number id (SNID), and arrange for warranty repair service. https://www.acer.com/ac/en/PH/content/support.   Jack E/NJ

yes is already went to the acer service center and that's what happens, So i will file a complain on what happen that's why i want to know if it is legal for a technician to open my computer without informing me or to troubleshoot without my presence. it's just like your son/daughter got sick you went to the hospital then the doctor run some test and was not able to identify what is causing the illness then the doctor said that he will refer your child to a different specialist and that is okay so you left for an hour and when you cam back he is now doing some major operation with your child without you knowing. as far as i know that is illegal.
