Can't find a webcam driver for E5-411

Hello so I own an this acer laptop for about a year now and it never gave me any problems until a few days ago. While having a live chat on skype I got an error saying "No Webcam Detected" or something similiar to that, I don't remember it quite well cause I quickly pressed ok thinking that it was just a moment problem. But when the error exited the camera shut off and only my mic was available. I tried to restart skype and computer and try the camera app of windows 10 but it was still broken. Than I checked for the drivers and saw that there were no Imaging Device section and the webcam driver was titled HD Webcam under the Webcam section which was hidden. I tried to update it but it said that it is on the latest version. Than I tried third party softwares such as Driver Booster and it saw HD Webcam as unplugged. Trying to use they're feature to "clean" the unplugged driver data did nothing. Than I tried to troubleshoot it but it said that everything was fine. Than I tried to do an driver scan and hardware change scan and nothing. I tried to uninstall the driver and scan again but now the driver wouldn't appear at all. I used a system restore point to get it back to the hidden Webcam section and trying everything again didn't solve anything. I looked at the acer website for webcam drivers for my model and there were none. Searched on many google results and couldn't find a webcam driver for my model. I do not know what to do now. Please if you can get access to this driver or know where I can get it please tell me. Thank you.

    Good afternoon ComputerUser133 !

Checked in Device Manager if the camera is not on hidden devices?
    Is she recognized there?
Have you tried installing the Quick Access Application? https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/5397;-;Aspire E5-411
    Try to check online: https://webcammictest.com/

@MaClane Thank you for replying. Yes I did check under the hidden devices, actually this whole time the only way I could find the HD Webcam driver when I could, was throw showing hidden devices. If you uninstall it, it's gone for good unless you do a system restore. I checked the camera with the native windows 10 camera app, skype and a few websites, none could detect it. I did also try the Quick Access app but it didn't help. What can I do now?

If you have a habit of frequently opening & closing the lid during the day, it's possible the integrated LCD/cam ribbon cable has a conductor break because that's what it sounds like when even Windows can't detect it to install a driver.  Breaks usually happen in the congested hinge area. Replacement video cables are cheap so you might want to order one if none of the software approaches seem to fix the issue. Just google "e5-411" "video cable" Jack E/NJ

    Good night !

In this case, it is very likely that the flat cable that connects the webcam is wobbly or damaged.
Inform me the exact model of your notebook so that I can check the correct part number.
I take it and check if the webcam of this model is integrated directly.

If you're unable to find a webcam driver for your Acer E5-411 laptop, try enabling the webcam in the Device Manager and installing the chipset driver from the Acer website, which may include the webcam driver. If those steps don't work, it's possible that the webcam has a hardware issue and needs to be repaired or replaced. You can contact Acer support for assistance, or consider using an external webcam as a workaround.

You can also get this issue if the underlying internal USB port the webcam sits on is confused. Sometimes a removal if the USB host controller of USB hub in Device manager, followed by a reboot to reinstall it will help with that.

The webcam on your laptop is a built-in (integrated) Microsoft device named "HD User facing" You have to install it with Windows PowerShell

    -Press Windows key + X
    -Click Windows Powershell Admin
-Copy and paste each of the commands below and hit Enter

    Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

    PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage *WindowsCamera*).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}"
If you are getting errors when you enter those commands , that is fine, restart your computer after and check the camera.

If PowerShell methos fails, check the Microsoft Store for Camera and install from there.

Moreover, using a web-based Webcam Test tool can help you confirm if the issue is specific to the webcam driver or if there is a hardware problem with the webcam itself. This can provide valuable information for determining the next troubleshooting steps and potentially saving you time and effort.
