Do I need to remove my other SSHD when sending it in for repair?

Probably have no choice now but to send it in for repair, as the temperatures, even after a full factory reset are increasing every day. 61-70 on idle.

Anyways, I have a 2 tb SSHD that I got for the acer predator helios 300 and I am wondering if that needs to be removed before sending it in? Or should I be good?

Before sending it in, what temps are we seeing under heavy gaming loads sitting elevated above a hard surface? What's the full model number? Usually anything below 94*C with no obvious throttling is considered normal for these new hot setups.   Jack E/NJ

It approaches 100c when even playing games, such as League of Legends, on the lowest graphics settings.

OK, it probably needs to be re-pasted. If it's still under warranty, it should be sent in for repair.  I'd probably put the old HDD back in there if possible. Jack E/NJ

It is under warranty, that is what I am doing as well. I am talking about the SSHD that you can add along with the HDD it comes with.

Take it out ---- unless you're booting from it now. Then it's a hassle. Jack E/NJ

No. What I mean is that if you re-set the laptop so it's running Windows from the new 2TB SSHD instead of the old 1TB HDD, then leave it inthere. If it still runs Windows from the old 1TB HDD without the 2TB SSHD having to be connected, then take the 2TB SSHD out. Jack E/NJ

The HDD that it came with was only 300gb, I bought a seperate 2TB SSHD to put into the extra slot, so I have 2 hard-drives. Unfortunately, I was surprised I was even able to put it in 2 years ago when I got the laptop, removing it is not an option for me; I don't trust myself in removing components from a computer lol.

So does this also mean you trust the extended warranty service provider with your SSHD more than you do yourself? =)=) Jack E/NJ
