I have a   with a 1050 GPU. It was working fine for a while, now it won't load the drivers. I have tried:

Updating the driver, Downgrading the driver, Microsoft Drivers, Clean boot remove in safe mode, Resetting the machine to factory, updating the BIOS, Updating the chipset (and every other available driver from the support site, removing the latest updates, stopping Windows updating drivers via updates, Disabling fastboot etc.

Occasionally the driver will load but it will bluescreen and strip the drivers out.

Nitrosense spot it fine, - just registers it as idle.

I'm running out of options here...

    >>>Resetting the machine to factory,>>>

    (1) Did you reset from inside Windows or by the ALT+F10 cold boot method?
    (2) Did the card seem to work OK for a while immediately after the reset?

Both. I tried restoring from a restore point and then from advanced start up and restore.

Try this method. Shut the machine completely off. Then turn it back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. A recovery screen should appear. Follow directions as in the video below to reset the machine to a factory fresh ACER Win10 state, preferrably  by erasing everything that are now on the HDD. This is the best way for ruling in or ruling out a hardward problem. Jack E/NJ

    Hi,
Thanks for that. I'll try it in a couple of weeks. I have files on it for a work project, which I don't want to risk deleting.

Yes, definitely back up your personal files with this method even if you choose the option to try to save them. Jack E/NJ
