Help, I was wondering what is this small hole at the right corner of my laptop keyboard, so i ***** it with a needle.
Then the moment i tried to record. my microphone only records static like sound.

I tried to search where the built in microphone is located. just to find out that i broke it. is there anyway i could fix this??? Please Help.

Why did you put a needle in the hole? Jack E/NJ

I thought it's sometype of reset button just like in routers.

You could consider a bluetooth microphone or headset. So what was the reason for the random shutdowns? A cover safety switch or battery reset switch? Jack E/NJ

Sure i guess there is no way for me to fix this.
The cover safety switch, i tried to screw it more tightly but its still shutting down when i move the laptop.

Take the cover off again and tape a spacer to the inside of the cover so it presses easier against the switch. Then you won't have to screw the cover down as tight. While you're in there you might take a closer look mic connections. I fear however that the needle probably shorted them doing some damage to the circuitry if the laptop was turned on when you did it. Jack E/NJ

is there any alternative tapes? i dont have a spacer tape. or could i use anything just to fill the gap between the switch and the cover?

Yes, use anything. Even use water-base glue to affix a piece of rubber, plastic to the cover. Jack E/NJ
