Hey all!! Can anyone please confirm if Acer Predator g9-593 will support 1TB NVMe SSD? I have only one slot which contains a SSD already and I am planning to swap it with WD SN550 NVMe 1TB SSD. From the discussion of this thread I now know that I can buy NVMe but can it support 1TB?
    Thanks!  :)

Here is the link to SSD I am planning to get

  • This crucial tool reports that it is compatible, see: https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/predator-g9-593-71eh/CT13565611
But I am not sure if this information is correct.

I don't know about 1TB but I have WD SN750 500 GB NVMe SSD and it works perfectly fine.

Is there any other way I can know for sure other than the Crucial website? I guess if it supports Crucial P1 1TB, then it should support any 1TB SSD
  • There is no way to know without the user taking the test. However, I have seen users installing a 2tb nvme ssd on older hardware like the f5-573g, and the motherboard recognized it. It is very likely that the model the newer models, such as the g9-593 also accept nvme of 1tb or more.

OK! Post the result of the purchase here!
Sure thing. It'll take about 2 weeks to ship to my location, as soon as I get it and switch it up with the old M.2. I'll post the result! :+1:

How did the process for this go? I'm guessing you have a different laptop by now but I'm still getting an nvme ssd for this one, thought it had 2 slot but it's the same as yours. I'm worried about the OS and drivers, etc. Thanks! Hope you get to see this.

Hey, yes I did get a new laptop a month ago but the WD SN750 500GB NVMe SSD worked fantastic on my Predator, I'm still using it on my new laptop. It's pretty solid, 10/10 would recommend
