Memory upgrade and hinge problem! Aspire VX15 (VX5-591G-74UK)

Hi guys! Im traveling to the US on the 15th (April) and i wanted to buy RAM for my Acer. Here in Argentina it is super overpriced and hard to find if it is a not that common model. I have the Acer Aspire VX15 (VX5-591G-74UK), it comes with 12GB RAM.

Wich RAM's do you guys think i should buy? I would really apreciate some options (even better with amazon links) because i don't know much about RAM memory and i don't want to purchase it wrong, as i said i may not have another oportunity to buy this for some years.

Another thing is my screen broke, i read about this being a normal problem with this ACER model, i read this post about it, because it is my same problem:

Do you guys reckon i should buy some things over there to fix it? Here i will not be able to find any replacement parts!

There is no mistake! Ideally, you buy a ram memory with similar features to what you have on your notebook and turn on the dual channel! Hi! First of all thanks for the amazingly quick response i was not sure if anyone was actually going to reply hahaha. I would really apreciate, if it is possible for you, to write in english Next Time because i really dont know a word of portuguesse and i can not relay that much on Google translate.

Answering the things you asked me:
1) I am most definetly going to buy two 16GB DDR4 cards, are there cheapper ones tho? Maybe 400dls Is a bit pricy for me.
2) I work on video editing you think buying a New SSD Is that important for this? Wich ones should i check? I dont even know how pricy their are.
3) Sadly the warranty has already expired, so that Is not an option. I Will call Acer service Center to check what the say and i Will upload some pictures as soon así i get home, but the problema is the same as in the link i share

Finally sorry for my english I know it's not perfect and the spanish autocorrect in my phone Is not helping hahaha although i think i can make myself understood!

I translated into English! I use an application in google chrome that translates directly into portuguese! With that, sometimes I think I'm on a Portuguese page and forget to translate into English!

a) I particularly prefer the kingston rams memories and crucial! However, there are other brands that are also very good! In the United States, these peripherals usually have a very good price!

b) Video editing programs usually use a lot of RAM! However, a ssd m2 2280, usually leaves the rate of reading and writing and the computer boot much faster. The ssds m2 2280 sata 3, also has an excellent rate of reading and writing, in addition to having lower price!

c) I can provide you the partnumber of the parts with problems, when you send the photos!

You can check the ram memory that is installed in your notebook using aida64, see:

There are other brands of memories rams, which are also very good, such as crucial for example!

So, as promissed i came home and did my research:

1) Memory RAM wise i checked on this options:

I do not know much about any of this but i guess the crucial ones are the most famous ones? I think they are all kind of the same, same specs

2)I still do not get if it is that important to get an ssd m2 2280 sata 3 or ssd m2 2280, not know the difference betwen those two and actually don't even know what to do with that! Hahaha sorry im that ignorant in this matter! I guess those are solid drives, for storage my documents, and you say my editing software would run faster using those?

I know is quite hard to apreciate on the images but i cannot close the screen or it snaps! I know is already broken because the screen is separated from the hinge, i read the threat i publishied at the beggining and everybody had the same issue, but acer close the threat so i can't ask over there!

If you need more pictures i can try putting out the screen, i never did anything like that but i can maybe check for instructions and give it a try (it scares the s**t out of me tho hahaha)

2) Looking at the specifications of your exact model, it already comes with a ssd m2 2280 sata 3 of 128gb, factory installed, see: https://www.acer.com/datasheets/2017/4876/VX5-591G/NH.GM2AL.004.html

However, I do not know to tell you if windows is installed on hd or ssd! If it is installed in ssd, you will see that the boot takes a maximum of 5 seconds to enter windows!

Again, thanks for all, i will buy the crucial ones! I do have the windows installed in my SDD drive and it boots REALLY fast! I do not have my editing software (premier pro and after effects) installed there because is a small drive and it get full quite fast!

I will check with a computer tecnic about the hinge problem to see what should i do!

I did check the vídeo but I canot put the grey thingh out, because I canot close the screen down. Something Is for sure broke because wjen it did broke I favor pieces of broken black plastic all around the laptop
