I'm looking to get one and I don't know what's the difference ( if any ) between this 2.
Also does any of them support charging via the USB-C port?

Many Thanks!

Hi. It took me a while to get the answer to this question ! And the answer is :
First : G stands for graphic card. And it seems (when looking into stores) that the first digit after (771... 554... stands for the processor type (i7, i5...).

    55G vs 56G :
56G has an HDD (or the space for an HDD).
Thus : 56G is 3.1 mm thiker than the 55G and 250g+ heavier (the weight of the HDD).
56G has one more USB port (type 2.  I think I red somewhere it's the one that allows charge when closed)

With the definition of 588X I only found the VN7 and not SF314

Please read these 2 detailed review sources to look for the real differences:
    for sf314-55g: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Acer-Swift-3-SF314-i7-8565U-MX250-Laptop-Review.422362.0.html
    for sf314-56g: https://www.overclockers.ua/notebook/acer-swift-3-sf314-56g/all/

55g: lighter, brighter and better display, ram not upgradeable, mx250 gpu limited to 10W, so less performance than 56g, although undocumented, but usb c charging seems to work.
56g: bit heavier, less bright screen, average display, ram upgradeable (1 socket) some say 12gb max, other say 20gb max, mx250 runs max 25W, dont seem to charge at usb c connector

Confirmation from my 56G. Won't be charged through USB-C, 20GB max memory (16+4).
