My monitor is broken. It has a lot vertical lines displayed on the screen but it does not appear on BIOS. I have installed the latest display adapter drivers but it seems it does not solve the problem. How do I fix this?

Are the vertical lines still there when you HDMI out to a TV screen? Jack E/Nj

No, the lines are not present in the tv screen when I HDMI out. What does this mean and how do I fix this?

You probably need a new video ribbon cable (part# 50.GDEN7.001) due to a conductor trace break in the hinge area. Usually as a result of opening and closing the lid too much. Fairly inexpensive replacement, but you must remove the KB assembly and screen bezel to access or to re-seat the mainboard and screen connectors. Google "f5-573g" and "disassembly" for videos on how to do this for the E & F series. Jack E/NJ
