Recently, I was watching YouTube on my Nitro 5 on a poor internet connection and all of a sudden it went to the windows “something went wrong” screen. It did an automatic restart because of this and it was there on the acer startup screen for about 2 hours. I tried shutting it off and turning it back on, but then it went to the acer startup screen and it had the words “preparing automatic repair” under the logo. I let it sit for about 3 or so hours and nothing ever happened. I tried the same method and the same result occured. I tried leaving it open and unplugged until it ran out of battery and I plugged it back in and turned it back on. It was on the windows loading startup screen for a bit but it went back to the automatic repair screen. It let it sit for 12 hours with that screen there and still counting. What should I do???

Hi, you can try to reset the device and check if that fix the issue. If not OS might be corrupted thus you will need to get Recovery media disk to reinstall the operating system or contact acer warranty to get help.

Please follow the website below, there is number for in warranty support which will allow you to contact them.  https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/service-contact
