Hi,

I cant find a definitive answer to my question (some says yes, some says no). I have this predator model with the 6th gen i7 processor, 16gb ram, gtx 1080, 1tb hdd and 128gb m.2 ssd. bios version is r01-a4. I've had it for a year and I am planning to upgrade the m.2 drive to a higher capacity as it only has 128gb. As NVME drives are within reasonable prices nowadays (256 or 512GB), I just want to know if this model will support NVME m.2 drives (all models available in my area are m key).

If the M.2 port is M key, that means it supports NVMe SSD. You can download HWiNFO and expand the 'Bus' section, there you can find whether the port M.2 port that the SSD occupied is with x2 or x4 PCIe interface.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
