I just received my laptop yesterday, set up some programmes and started gaming. The thing is the temperature reaches high 90c and sometimes spike up to 97c. I tried undervolting to -0.140v and the temp stays at around 85-90c. Cooling pad is used but no change to the temperature.

Is the laptop fine to be used at around these temp for a long gaming session?

I'm planning to do a thermal repaste to see if it does any good.

I would also want to know you guys helios 300 temperature when gaming so I can get an ideal temp I should be aiming.

@Shichiya_San optimize windows/undervolt and lastly if still needed repaste with kryonaut or similar but check if you are allowed to do it yourself without voiding your warranty follow the links in my signature the ideal temps are under 80 cpu and 70ish gpu in high demanding games on 85+ it will usually start to thermal throttle

Alright, thanks for the suggestion. Will aim for CPU temp below 80
By the way,is there anything I should be aware of when using a thermal paste? (Like what kind of paste should be avoided etc.)

I recommend kryonaut or similar but as i said earlier check with your seller/shop and acer support if you are allowed to do it yourself not voiding the warranty also just a thin layer on both diodes its more than enough when applied with the kryonaut applicator
