I just got a Nitro 5(AN515-53) and went into the properties of my SSD and ran "disk cleanup". One of the options after running this is, "Compress your OS drive". My question is, will this affect the performance of the PC/SSD? This is my first PC w/an SSD and have never seen this option before. Thanks for any help or info.

Whether you want to compress the files in your SSD depends on you.

Compression reduces the file sizes, therefore allowing you to store more files. Compression can potentially reduce the lifespan of the SSD(consumes more write cycles), increases the CPU usage slightly, which can potentially reduce the battery life slightly.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
