Is the Helios 500 THAT much better than the Helios 300?

I currently have a Predator Helios 300 (PH317-51) and I wanted to upgrade to Helios 500 PH517-51-72NU , but after I thought about it one more time...I found that the newer version of the Helios 300 I have would be a much better choice. The main reason I want to upgrade is the screen. I currently have the 60hz and I want a better laptop overall with a 144hz screen, and that's why I had an eye on the Helios 500, but then I found out that the only major difference between the Helios 500 and NEW Helios 300 is the GPU. In the 300, it's a GTX 1060. In the 500, it's a GTX 1070, but is that worth the price gap? ($700) I compared the specs of both and the only difference is the GPU as I mentioned. Even the CPU is the same in both models (i7-8th gen.) That's as far as specs are concerned. Other minor features, of course, have the Helios 500 in favor of them. Better Keyboard and RGB backlight, better cooling, better materials, better ports, better upgradability, but I don't care for these at all. I won't really make use of any of these except the better cooling...even though the Helios 300 still has great fans (go up to 6122 RPM and keep the CPU at around 63-75 stable - max 82 - when playing Fortnite on low 60 FPS.) So, the question here is...is the difference really worth it? Is it worth paying $700 more for it? Should I go for it?

You already know the characteristics at which the Helios 500 is better than 300, so it totally depends on you whether it is worth it or not for you.

I want to add that the Helios 500 also has Gsync(removes screen tearing and improves smoothness), which means decreased battery life, because there is no nvidia optimus(no intel hd graphics and the device constantly runs from the 1070).

Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
