Choppy gameplay after windows update(Predator PH315-51)

So yesterday my windows updated itself and ever since then all my games have been experiencing choppy game play even though I run high FPS. my graphics drivers are up to date, My BIOS update is 1.19. I have an Acer predator helios 300 with a GTX 1060 with an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz, 2208 Mhz, 6 Core(s) and my model is a Predator PH315-51. any help on how to fix this issue?
on a side note I was originally having thermal throttling issues but i have fixed this by disabling turbo and undervolting using throttle stop. so idk if that could be part of my problem but the choppy gameplay started after the windows update.

@ToyNation roll back/uninstall all recent updates and disable it permanently (windows update) to not update again unless you have issues regarding you thermal issues one thing you should never do its disble turbo this causes serious issues in long term the cpu might not even achieve the normal clocks after you enable it again i had seen this happening a few times if after optimizing windows and undervolting you still have thermal issues the solution is repaste and i state again never disable turbo boost it's not the solution you are basically just  killing your laptop by doing that
