Hi ever since new my acer has had the tendency to hang. I need to be very careful when starting new application while it is busy with a task. So it does not seem to mulittask. Even if I plug in a usb stick it will hang if it is busy with some other task. The only way I can rescue it sometimes is to open task manager and stop tasks. I have already replaced the hard drive. I think it is a mother board problem. But who knows it could be soft ware.
