Hi,
I was operating the Predator laptop today (Helios 300) and noticed that the battery indicator was showing wrong level/percentage. When I hover over the battery icon, it showed 67% but when I clicked on it, it showed 66%. This continued to go on. The problem was not there before, just recently happened.
Another problem with the battery is that when the battery is charged fully, and after that when I disconnect it from the mains, it shows either 99% or 98% charged instead of 100%. This happened from the beginning when I purchased the laptop.
Any idea why it might be happening?
Do I need to recalibrate my battery or is my battery malfunctioning?
Thanks,
Niladri

1.Power Drain: Turn off the Laptop and unplug the charger. look at the back of your unit you can find a small pin hole. Put a paper clip in the pin hole and press and hold the paper clip for 40 seconds.
    2. Go to Device manager, expand Batteries, highlight and right click "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control method battery", click Properties, go to Driver tab and uninstall the driver, reboot and let Windows install the driver.
Try the above steps and let us know

I would suggest you to calibrate the battery. Discharge it fully, then make sure the device is not heated up and begin charging. I advice to not use the device while it is charging(just when you calibrate the battery) or you can, but make sure the heaviest task you do is browsing.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

I did the steps, the battery is charging to 100% but it still displays the charge less by 1%. For example when hovering over the battery icon it shows 80% charge but when clicking on it, the popup opens and shows 79% charge.
    This is so strange... :(

This is most likely a windows bug, not something to do with the battery or the laptop.

Install this small freeware - battery bar. You can toggle it sit on your taskbar permanently, and this barely uses any resources.

Clicking on it would bring up more details, including battery wear. See if the value in this is in sync with the value you see on standard windows battery icon.
