Acer Nitro 515-53 to External Monitor at 144hz

Hello All,

I have an Acer Nitro 5 (515-53) the 1050 Ti model which has HDMI for the GPU output. The HDMI is HDMI 2.0 which should support refresh rates over 60+ from all the research I've done. Currently I have it hooked up to a monitor that caps at 60HZ but I have an Acer XF270H on the way which supports up to 144hz.

I had a monitor at work that has a refresh rate of 144HZ but when I connected via HDMI it would still only give the option of doing 60HZ and not any higher. Does anyone have their Acer Nitro 5 connected to a monitor with a refresh rate above 60HZ that can verify this model will actually support outputting above 60HZ via HDMI?

I dont think you can produce 144Hz refresh rate using HDMI. Try with DP or DVI cable.
