I am having Acer nitro 5 AN515-52 gaming laptop. I am constantly trying to install linux distribution (Ubuntu/mint) alongside Windows 10. But everytime , as soon as setup pops up,the touchpad totally stops working, I somewhere read that in some cases, it might be possible that kernels does not support drivers which makes me out of luck.I was somehow able to run xinput command, but being a novice in linux , I was unable to determine what it conveys. Can anyone help me  & tell that whether linux can be installed or not.

    Good afternoon brij25 !

Try solving by switching the touchpad from advanced to basic on the main tab of the bios settings.
However, pinch, scroll, and other options may stop working.

If it does not work, take a look here:

Hi MaClane, thanks, your answer actually did help me! Unfortunately, after a BIOS upgrade, the option is now missing in the settings. Did they just move the touchpad setting and I can't find it, or is there another solution to the issue?
