My Acer aspire 5 A515-52-58RF has got some kind of mic issue. Its inbuilt mic is not working at all. Please suggest something what should I do know. I bought this laptop recently just 20 days before.

Right click the speaker icon in the tray. Click 'recording devices'. Make sure default device is turned on. Jack E/NJ

When I click on the speaker icon in the tray "recording devices" is not presented as an option.  Still no way to get mic working as of yet.

Open Device Manager. Do you see any red or yellow device driver warnings? Jack E/NJ

No.  Everything comes up as "This device is working properly."

Do you have a headset we can use to see if its mike shows up in recording devices? Jack E/NJ

I have a Logitech headset.  When plugged in it shows and works (with the occasional lapse; could be user error on that one).

Means the audio chip is OK. So I'm gonna guess the lid's mike cable came loose from the mainboard connector right behind the charger jack. Bottom cover must be removed to access it. If you still can return it to the vendor/seller for an exchange, I'd do so ASAP because an ACER warranty repair will take longer unless you want to try to tackle it yourself. If you don't break any tamper seals or any parts opening it, it shouldn't affect the warranty. Jack E/NJ
