You can't change the cTDP of the CPU.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

it states there is a Configurable TDP-down
at only 7.5w, then why can i not ???

The configurable TDP up and down means that it can be configured to different wattages, but this is entirely up to the OEMs(Acer) what the TDP value will be. This doesn't mean it can be configured by the user.

Why do you want it to run at 7.5W anyway?
