First of all, sorry for my bad English.

My laptop will be unresponsive suddenly and the screen will have static (check the image below) then it will shut itself down.

Please help!

This seems like an issue with the VRAM of the GPU. What happened before these artifacts appeared(e.g the laptop froze, restarted, shutdown)?

    Try resetting the battery.

Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Unfortunately, nothing can be done by you to fix this issue, which means you have to contact Acer support and send the device for a service.

If you want to find out whether the issue is in the system RAM used by the Intel HD graphics or the Nvidia GPU go to nvidia control panel and enable display GPU activity from the desktop tab. Now check if the Nvidia GPU is active. If it isn't active and you get the artifacts then the issue is faulty RAM, which needs replacing. If the issue is there when the Nvidia GPU is only active(e.g during gaming only), then the issue is in the VRAM(that is a dedicated RAM for the GPU only, which isn't used for anything else. Intel HD graphics doesn't have its own VRAM and uses part of your system's regular RAM as VRAM).
