Today at the same time I noticed a drastic change in performance and the battery always shows 100%. This is on battery power only, plugged in everything is fine (except battery level always shows 100%). I have checked all of the performance settings in the power options and am running high performance option. I have run the windows 10 battery diagnostics as well as the acer care center tests and everything checks out fine. I did a system restore to a previous date and that didn't help either. I've also noticed that the yellow charging light fails to come on when plugged in. I know my laptop hasn't gone into battery saving mode because the display is still at full brightness. The battery saver option also isn't turned on as well as airplane mode and all other settings are normal.

    (1) What is your full ACER model number?
    (2) On the bottom case, check for a battery reset pinhole. If it exists, remove the charger and gently insert a paperclip to disconnect the battery for about 10 seconds. Then let the machine rest for 15 mins. Then replace the charger. The turn it on again. Jack E/NJ

Thank you JackE, This seems to correct the condition, I have had to do it twice. The last time the percent of battery charge froze at 91% and performace was severly affected and after a battery reset performance returned to normal and battery charge was correctly shown at 72%.

I have a swift, after having tried the pin hole reset a few times, the battery indicates full 100% charge, but when I remove the charger cable the laptop immediately switches off. When the charger is plugged in the orange charge light flashes.

I've checked the voltage for the charger & it's producing 19v as expected.

    What else can I try?
