Hi, i just bought a Acer Aspire 5 A515 52G and did install Debian, but the touchpad is not working at all.
Under Touchpad Settings i got "No Touchpad found". Also it is not listed under /proc/bus/input/devices
Has anyone a clue?

    power drain: Just check the back of the unit, you can find a pin hole , unplug the charger and turn off the unit. now put a paper clip in the small pin hole and press and hold it for 30 sec.

    Thx for the answer. But meanwhile i found a solution:
    I did have to edit /etc/default/grub.
    At the line
    GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"<br>
    i added i8042.reset i8042.nomux i8042.nopnp i8042.noloop
    updated grub and the touchpad is working.
    Still have another issue, because the wifi card is not working under debian.
