Acer Nitro 5 HDD keeps disconnecting

I purchased an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52-59FA notebook. After two weeks of usage the preinstalled HDD started getting a bit slow, not wanting to load things, or loading them slowly, and later even disappeared from the file explorer. Restarting the notebook seemed to solve it for the first time, but it keeps happening. Right now, restarting doesn't help most of the time, but closing the lid(making it sleep) somehow makes it reappear but it's still unusable. I can still open the HDD, but increasing the stress(opening a bigger folder) makes it disconnect. Could the reason be a faulty HDD?

Open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. Click 'change settings that aren't currently available'. Scroll down to uncheck the box for fast startup to disable fast boot. Then shut down the machine. Unplug the charger. Look for a pinhole with a battery symbol on the bottom. If it exists, gently press a paperclip into the hole for about 30 seconds. Then let the machine rest for 15mins. Plug the charge back in and turn the machine on. Jack E/NJ

OK. Try a full ALT+F10 cold boot factory reset as shown in the video below. After turning the machine on, Immediately press and hold the ALTkey while tapping the F10 key. Don't wait for the ACER splash screen to appear. If a resest doesn't fix the problem, then without delay return the machine as defective to the vendor ASAP before its return policy period expires. ACER warranty repairs will take longer. Jack E/NJ

I tried resetting it, with letting it clean the drive. Since then, the HDD doesn't show up in the BIOS, file explorer or the disk manager, but Intel Rapid Storage still detects it as a usable drive.

OK. Either faulty HDD or it needs to be re-seated. If you don't see a tamper sticker or seal over the HDD door on the bottom of the laptop, remove the screw & HDD door. Then remove the 4 screws holding the HDD, gently pull up the back of the HDD and out of its mainboard slot. Re-seat it a few times to clean the contacts. Then button it back up and try it again. If it still doesn't show up in the BIOS Information tab or diskmgmt.msc, return it to the vendor as defective. Jack E/NJ
