Cannot load BIOS

For the 2 months I've had my laptop, Swift SF314-54, there has been no problem with loading BIOS, I have used F2 probably half a dozen times, but now it doesn't work. The Acer logo loads and then the screen goes black, I know the laptop is still on because the back lighting on the keyboard is on, but the screen remains black. I have tried all of the other usual keys, ESC, DEL, F12, and they all produce the same effect - a black screen and then nothing. The laptop boots into GRUB and my Linux OS perfectly fine, and I can use F10 to select the boot drive/device as before. The only thing I can think that has changed since the last time I successfully loading BIOS was removing the Windows 10 partition that I no longer used, but I can't see why that would result in an inability to load BIOS.

This is really irritating me, everything I try results in the same black screen.

Any help

Just tied fn + f2, exactly the same result. And no, BIOS doesnt appear when plugged into an external monitor. Up until the OS boots, the monitor (well TV) says no signal from HDMI.

What version of linux is installed? What is the bios version? In the Linux device manager, is there a driver with the name firmware?
