Hey guys,

According to my computer properies, I have 8gb available to use however when I opened the laptop, I could only see 1 stick of 4gb. Is this normal?

Also, Crucial states 12gb max RAM allowed, is it ok to just remove this 4gb stick and add in an 8gb?

Any help appreciated,

thanks

It has 4GB on-board(soldered) and a slot for upgrade. You can install a moduel of 4GB, 8GB or 16GB in that slot.

Thanks, is the Crucial scanner correct when it states maximum of 12Gb RAM? Or could I put 16GB module in that slot and it would be ok?
