User Modification (add memory or SSD) - Acer Policy?

What is Acer's policy concerning the upgrading of memory or the addition of an SSD by the user? Does this in any way void the warranty? I would prefer an answer by the official Acer Customer Service, rather than a user guessing after reading the warrantees posted by Acer.

I would probably not see an Acer from an Acer official for your question.

Whether this will void warranty or not also depends on the country you live in. If there are no warranty void stickers preventing from opening the cover you can do it without voiding the warranty, unless you damage something in the process.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Since I wanted an official response, I contacted ACER directly through the Chat service.

Hi i need help because i just went to an acer service center because my aspire laptop all of a sudden is acting up the screen is totally black whenver i turn it on tue LED light for the power turns on as well as the fan inside so it means that there is power but there’s nothing on the screen so i went to the acer technician he tried to remove RAM at the back tried to wipe something and still it’s not working then i he said that he may need to send it over to the main service center that may take 3-4weeks to get it fixed so i told him that i will be back because im so hungry so i left for like an hour and then when i got back the whole back cover of my laptop was already removed showing evrything the hard disk and the ram the battery was removed leaving the motherboard intact then he opened the mother board and said that it’s wet and that this will not be covered by the warranty :( is it legal for the technician to open my unit without my prescence ? Thank you
