I have Acer helios 300 PH 315-51, when i turn on the backlight for the keyboard, it just turns itself after some period of inactivity in the keyboard.  what i would like to know is how to keep the keyboard backlight on at all the time when it gets turned on by pressing fn+f9.

As of now there is no such option to make keyboard backlight stay longer. we need to wait until acer rolls out a new BIOS update or a software feature like what HP does..

    Hi all,

I have been informed that the backlight functionality for On Battery Power or AC Adapter Power has been change to do the same (always turn off 30 seconds after the last key stroke), i understand that their's been reports and comments in the community that you're not happy with this update and therefore we are forwarding this message to our design/engineering team for feedback.

I bought this laptop 2 months ago and I use it plugged in, the backlight always stays infinitely on. However after an update was installed today I restarted my computer and just started having this problem. I need help getting it back to its old state where the keyboard backlight would stay on indefinitely.
