I bought a Predator PH315-51 back in September. The laptop crashes (screen freezes or goes black) whenever I play games on it which is the reason I bought the laptop in the first place. I've spent countless hours researching and troubleshooting trying to find something to prevent it from crashing. I'm really disappointed in the quality of this laptop. My software warranty is expired, but if I contact Acer would it be possible to get a new laptop?

Have you done any undervolting to the CPU? Have you undervolted or overclocked the GPU?

If you haven't done neither of these go to C:/WINDOWS/minidump delete all files from the folder, except the mosr recent ones, then download and run 'whocrashed'. The minidumps contain details of the error and whocrashed will show what is causing the problem in most cases. After you run whocrashed send a screenshot of the report.

If there are no files in the minidump folder go control panel>system and security>system>advanced system settings>start-up and under 'system failure' make sure write an event to the sytem log is enabled and disable automatic restart. If the system crashes again a BSOD will appear(take a picture of that) and it will also create a system log in the minidump. After that you can run whocrashed.

Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

More details are needed on when the issue is occurring, what you tried and those details. This way we could try to understand problem from your side.
