My Aspire ES1-523 touchpad suddenly stopped working. I have tried all the usual stuff, updated the drivers, restarted, checked the Windows 10 -64 settings for mouse/touchpad etc. Nothing seems to work. There have been many Windows updates recently. Have I missed something? What else can I try or do, please?

1.Try to do updates on the unit by going to updates & Security>and click on Check for updates.
2.Also try by pressing Fn+F7
3. Try BIOS default: power on the unit, but as soon as you power on the unit keep pressing the F2 key so that it take you to BIOS page. Press F9 and press Enter than press F10 and press Enter. the unit will restart
Try the above steps and check

Just solved this on a brand new A515 with Windows 10. Try Ctrl + F7 not Fn + F70
