    Hi Bombboy,
     Thanks for your response.
The Acer Nitro 5 series comes with 2 drive slots. One 2.5inch drive slot and another  m.2 ssd slot.In your computer you have an  ssd .So you can easily put in another 2.5inch hdd as an extra storage .

Please let me know if this fixes your issue.

    Hi Bombboy,
This model comes with SSD and not HDD . SSD actually is much more faster in performance when compared to HDD.
Do you want to replace the SSD  with HDD.
    Please let me know

    Hi Bomboy,
I am attaching the HDD Specifications as per your model.

As per your computer model these are the specs.Based on this you can get your Hard drive.

Actually, This particular model comes with 1 socket for storage, and it's a M2 SATA SSD.
(not your typical 2.5 mSATA SSD, like everyone has ).
For this model, although the case has a removable plate, underneath it, there is no socket for adding a second storage unit (SSD or HDD)
Moreover, on the motherboard, there is no additional socket for a secondary M2 SATA, in case the user wants to add a second SSD.
This being said, If you own this laptop (w/ 256GB SSD), your out of luck if you want more storage.
You will need to remove the 256 GB SSD, and replace it with another one, of bigger size. Keep in mind that this means new OS, and uncofortable Data Transfer to your New SSD...which... i personally don't have a M2 SATA to USB adaptor.

Unless, Kamalika, do you have pictures to support your advice :))):-1:

please stop correcting people wether it's SSD or HDD.
It really doesn't matter in this particular scenario as we are not discussing storage units speed and specs.
This is an inquiry related to motherboard sockets / capacity of adding 2nd storage unit.
If the user decides to go for 1 TB HDD, or 256 SSD, it's his decision, but the issue here is clearly that he can't add one.
This model doesn'y have the capacity of adding a 2nd storage unit
