Hi,

2 days ago my my Acer had a sudden shutdown with no warnings, can’t turn it on, I was just watching a video and it just cut out on me instantly, black screen, no sounds or noises on shutdown.

-No lights for AC or battery on laptop light up when plugged/unplugged.
-Battery reset haven’t done the trick (pinhole battery reset where I had to hold it for 5sec, leave it for about 5-10min and then try to boot by repluging ac).
-AC unit as such has no lights, so I won’t know if it’s working.
-Tried different power sockets around the house too.
-I can’t hear any noises when pressing Power on button, no fans, no ticks or sounds.

I can order a new AC just in case, but I don’t know if that will do the trick.

Please help to atleast figure out what may be the issue.

Thank You

Try to press the pinhole reset for 30 sec
power drain: Just check the back of the unit, you can find a pin hole , unplug the charger and turn off the unit. now put a paper clip in the small pin hole and press and hold it for 30 sec.
If the above step dont work than try to get a another charger to charge the unit and try.
If you want to know the exact charger for the unit you can call Acer support to know about it.
But even after connecting to a new charger if the unit dont start up than it might be hardware problem so you can contact Acer support.
