What possible issues/future issues could be caused by the lack of HDMI 2.0 and thunderbolt 3 on the Swift 3 SF315-52G-80TV Notebook.

Should I be concerned for now or future that HDMI 2.0 and thunderbolt 3 are not supported?

Apologies for vague question but I am not savvy about laptops.

Laptop would be for my son and gaming is not the primary reason for this laptop. Should I assume that this laptop is not suitable for 4K UHD external monitors or external GPU (probably not necessary, but good to know about these things before purchase).

Thank you & regards

HDMI 1.4 might have more noticeable flicker on an external monitor at the highest resolutions than 2.0. For example, 1.4 is capable of 4096 x 2304 resolution @ 24 Hz whereas 2.0 the same resolutions @ 50-60Hz. The internal screen is capable of 50-60Hz at highest resolutions.

Thunderbolt ports have about 4-5 times higher speed capabilities than the max 5Gbit/s of the SFs USB ports. Don't expect to run an external monitor on the USB ports.
