Acer swift 1 freezes

Hi everybody,

I bought an Acer Swift 1 two weeks ago. Yesterday night, it freezed 4 times (while the computer was charging). I had to switch it off with the power button twice, and it rebooted itself twice.

I looked up on the internet and I found out that some people have had the same problem for a few weeks (even if their computer wasn't new). All the posts concerning this problem are quite recent (all posted during the month of November).

I don't know what to do, I had a previous problem with an Acer Aspire last year (problem that had just been solved). I'm tired of technical problems with the computers I buy...

Follow the video below for a factory reset now. If it doesn't resolve the problem, return it ASAP to the vendor/seller for a refund or exchange. Jack E/NJ

hi,

the solution is to install intel (display) drivers instead of windows drivers:
you will find them here:

Or install this intel updater:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html

You have to turn off windows automatic hardware driver updates, or the installation will be undone by windows.

Intell will take care of your updates from here on.

This fixed it for me.

Can I ask what version of the swift 1 you own? I own the Acer Swift 1 – SF114-32. And, I have no problems at all. Been using my computer alot, and nothing freezes. But follow the above solutions, it seems to be sorted out with those need help with this issues.
