I have a brand new Acer Aspire A717-72G-74BJ. Unfortunately I am encountering a few strange things.

One thing is that I don't see hibernate between the switch-off options. Yet for me it is the only viable option. I don't want to spend half an hour starting up all my applications every day. And I don't want to use the energy swallowing sleep option either. I did some search on the internet, but the recommended "powercfg /h on" or "powercfg -h on" don't have any effect. How do I achieve this.

The second problem is that the computer never shuts down by itself. In the configuration I see that it should switch off after 10 minutes when on electricity. But it doesn't happen - ever. What is happening here?
