Hi.

So I bought this Acer Aspire E5-576G laptop with Intel Core i3 and NVIDIA GeForce 940MX. The seller in the shop told me it's not the bad choice if I'll be running games that do not require high resources. Ok, I understand that games like Cities Skylines or EU4 can get messy because of massive information calculated. Totes. But my PC is running slow even in the background. Windows Updates say I am up to date, I have Microsoft Visuals C++ of 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2017 installed, all drivers from camera to microphone was checked manually to confirm they're up to date. The PC is slow even for opening Microsoft Office Word or Excel. I mean, common. Is this how this laptop is supposed to work? You buy a PC for 500 EUR and then buy additional hard drive, ram and etc? I had ASUS previously and I can confirm that 4GB RAM, 2GHz CPU, HDD, 64-bit OS and Windows 10 would not make me wait death to load an empty MS Word file.

I assume it might have something to do with virtual memory allocation found next to "Advanced system settings"? Before I set it manually, it was using over 6100MB (over 6.1GB). But Aspire E5-576G has only 4GB RAM installed, and mine says only 3.88GB is usable (in the "View basic information about your computer" found at Control Panel>>System and Security>>System). When I changed it manually (the PC was a hell slow, pretty often getting non-responding events) I went to "Advanced system settings". There it says that the Space available is 331197MB (331GB). At the bottom of the box:
Minimum allowed: 16MB
Recommended: 1392 MB
Currently allocated: 2692 MB

and my custom sizes are:
Initial size (MB): 1392
Maximum size (MB): 2784

Should I keep maximum size to recommended? I read somewhere that it is not recommended to surpass 3 times the recommended size, so chose 2 times higher. While choosing "System managed size" it goes over 6100MB allocated, as I said, but the recommended remains this kind of low at 1.39GB RAM. And why the hell it recommends to use only 1.39GB out of 3.88GB usable? As if half of RAMs is flying in the clouds. What should I do to boost my PC speed? Maybe I missed something and didn't install something to this new PC?

    (1) Uninstall, don't just disable, any non-Microsoft anti-malware. Windows defender is all you need.
    (2) Open Control Panel. Search power plan. On the left create power plan. Set power plan to high or max performance.
    (3) Open Task Manager. Click startup tab. Disable any startup programs you obviously don't need.
