I upgraded to Windows 10 and when I did a reset to change back to window 8 it didn't work. The recovery tab doesn't list recover back to previous version. I don't seem to have an Acer file so can't use Acer eRecovery Management. Window default is set at 10 with no option to choose 8. How can I change back to Window 8?

Please try the following steps to restore your computer. This will restore your computer to the original factory configuration, and erase all data on the system.
Press the Windows key + C, or swipe in from the right edge of the screen to open your Charms.
Click Search, then type Recover. Click Acer Recovery Management.
Select Restore Factory Settings. Click Next. Select Fully clean the drive.
    Click Reset.

When you did the upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 10 it changed the recovery partition and Windows 8 is no longer there. To go back to the original image you will need either the original recovery image you were supposed to create when you first brought your system up or a set of recovery media from the Acer store. I'm guessing you didn't create the original recovery, so the store is your best bet for returning to 8.

Now, why on earth would you want to go back to Windows 8?

Thanks for your help. No, I didn't create a recovery when I upgraded. My wifi won't work, there is an issue with the network adaptor and I am guessing the driver is designed to work on Windows 8. I have always used the ethernet cable but now the modem is in another room.

If it has been less than 30 days since the upgrade; it should be possible to revert to 8, as explained here, which includes EaseUS System GoBack.
After 30 days, a reinstall will be necessary.

It has been more than 30 days. I think I have fixed the network adaptor issue so I won't need to go back to Windows 8. Thanks again for your help.
