My problems started this morning when I went to update some of my drivers. I had restarted my computer expecting it to come back better and more up to date. It ended up getting stuck on the Predator logo with "Please wait while we install a system update" I let this go on for a while, it seemed my computer had frozen or got stuck. I went to press the power button to turn it off. It did not work no matter how long I held it. So I ended up undoing the first two screws on the back and it turned off. I put them back on and went to turn on my laptop. It started up but the display would not show anything, the keyboard lights came on and I can hear the fan running. I have been trying all day to figure out how to fix this. I have tried the battery reset button many times to no success. I have tried the BIOS recovery option but the other forums I have looked at seem to be so old the links they supply do not work anymore. I would rather avoid sending my laptop in because it is 1 month over the warranty it would be what I was told is a 900 dollar fee. If there is any other information I can provide please ask.

The model is a

Predator 17 G9-793-78CM.
