Hello. Is there a possibility to add xmp or overclock options in BIOS? I found current BIOS as very cutted out from options. Come on, Acer. You are big company, this will take for your programmers minutes to add advanced features and will give me possibity to run my G-Skills at 3000 Mhz CL16, not only at 2400 CL17.

All bios have advanced features to control absolute everything from memory clocks to gpu/cpu/fans but they are not accessible to the average user you would have to have a modded bios and that could only be done voiding all kinds or warranty by getting a bios dump ad get someone to mod it for you to flash it again all this could only be done via a programmer not normal flashing so if you are interested in advanced features that is the only option (which i do not recommend as i said it will void any and all warranty) so you can either stick with it as it is or take the risk yourself because neither acer neither any manufacturer will unlock any of their bios for the average user

    Hi.

You have chips, which adjust to the maximum allowed of the motherboard in MHz, that is to say that it is regulated alone without touching the bios.

HyperX® FURY DDR4 self-accelerates to the highest published frequency, up to 3466MHz
    https://www.hyperxgaming.com/en/memory/fury-ddr4

Users just have to select a configuration file corresponding to the frequency, without having to manually adjust the synchronization and other professional knowledge in the BIOS, can easily complete the overclocking of the platform, achieve the ideal execution frequency and synchronization, and make the team's performance simple.

    Regards.

That's a shame that this kind of expensive notebook has no advanced features at all. I had Alienware 15 R3 before 17X, it had all advanced features, including overclocking options  power limits, ram frequency and others. AW says, that 15 R3 supports ram up to 2667 Mhz with 6820HK, my ram worked at 3000 Mhz with no problem. So it's only in manufacturer hands to provide these features in BIOS. Only way for me is to sell this thing and go for Clevo one. It was my first experience with Predators and last one.

The only issue here is that the fury (UDIMM) is for desktops only for laptops the only hyperx available it's the impact 2666 SODIMM (the ones i have mobo wont support more) never tried it but there's intel XMP to overclock the memory all hyperx memory supports it and it seems like XTU but for memory but not sure which laptops mobo's support it if any at all as it's a bios feature but pretty sure acer doesn't (someone correct me if i'm wrong).

    Hola.

    https://www.hyperxgaming.com/en/memory/fury-ddr4
