Hi,
Need help with a suspicious pop-up.
See attached image.
I only had my Aspire TC-885 for a few days and this pop-up appeared.
Has anyone else seen it and is it genuine or not?
Pls help.
Many thanks.

As per the image that you have attached, this seems to be a genuine update from Acer.
You may keep the charger plugged in and proceed with the update. Close all application. Wait patiently till the update is completely installed,

Hi, Thanks for your reply... you say it 'seems' to be genuine..... that's the problem.
Thanks again but I will wait to see if anyone else has had the same pop-up.

Because this is a driver update, not UEFI; there is less chance of mayhem or mishap. Suggest that you create a system image before applying the update. On the off chance this turns out to be a piece of malware, you can "smite it" dead when you recover the system image.0
