Trying to connect three displays to an Aspire TC-780 i5

I installed an Nvidia Geforce GT 1030 graphics card with an HDMI and dvi port. I have two monitors connected to the GT 1030 and they work fine.  However, neither the onboard HDMI or VGA ports are providing any output.  I read on another post that adding a graphics card disables the onboard display ports. Is that true, and if so, is there a way to enable them in addition to the graphics card?

Some motherboards disable the onboard graphics when a dedicated video card is plugged in, others leave it enabled.
For this model, there is no option to enable both the graphics card at the same time on this device.
You can use the onboard video or a GPU card, but not both.
