Had a power surge, and now this Acer AIO AZ3-715-UR61 won't power up. It was recertified and pretty sure we are past our 90 day warranty.

The power adapter is not bad - tried another one from an identical unit, plus this one's adapter works on the other unit.

Tried holding down the power button for 30 seconds with no power connected.  Still nothing.  No lights, etc. when I hit the power button.

I'm guessing the motherboard is fried.  Anyone know if there might be a fuse inside I can check, without ripping the whole thing open to see?  Maybe a bad cap (an obvious one for the power) that's not so hard to replace on a power board or something?  Anyone have a service manual for this thing?

    Hi Arguy90125,
In order to get the user manual go to.
    http://www.acer.com/worldwide/support/
    Choose your country.
Now click on support from top of screen.
Click on drivers and manual from the left.
Put in the snid number( its on barcoded sticker in bottom panel of computer).
    Click Find.
     Then click on documents.
From the list choose the user manual and click on download.

Thanks, but I already have the user's manual, and it doesn't have any information to help with this problem.  I need a service manual, not the user's manual.  The service manual would have details for how to remove components, which components (e.g. fuses) might be in the circuit, etc.  I can always take the thing apart myself - a fuse should be big enough to see if there is one - but I was hoping to save myself that trouble in case someone might know or have access to the service manual.  Thank you!

Remove the CMOS battery and see if it will boot.

These device will not even power up if the CMOS batter dies. I changed my hard drive out (night and day difference) to a SSD and it would post or even turn on and I thought somehow I killed it. However just removing the CMOS batter allowed it to boot and post. I was doing 3 at the same time so I replaced all the batteries to avoid future issues. I bought mine refurbished also and they don't replace them unless the battery is dead when they test it.
