So, I downloaded the ISO today and started installing it. After 100%, it rebooted but to the old build and gave me this screen. What could be the solution to this? Windows Update shows I have no updates available. Btw, I had disconnected my Phone which was charging through the laptop.

Yeah I know this post is a bit old. Anyways, you mean no external usb or some sort of removable device connected?

Ok thanks mate. The reason I make this post alive again is because I am hesitating to upgrade my system to v1903. Might go only to v1809.

Since you need 1809 (and any other newer builds), keep only the power adaptor connected while upgrading. Use MCT to download the Windows 10 ISO and use it to upgrade offline.

This issue is still valid in some instances.

For example I have to unplug my VR headset whenever I try to shut down or reboot as it keeps the KB light active until I do.

Strange. I keep my phone plugged in even while restarting PC after a CU. And it works just fine for me. Try the thing again but with fast startup disabled (best thing I ever did on my PC) once.
