I just applied coolermaster thermal paste(1.85W/m.k) on cpu and gpu heat sinks of nitro5. now the temperatures reach up to 82C in minutes whereas before it used to max out at some 70C in 30 minutes. What could be the solution? Is it harmful for my laptop?

i had it before, i had a self build PC with an FX8350 8(180W) and i had to take it apart for some reason and it was running way hotter. problem was i was too cheap with my thermal paste usage and i didnt use enough. just take it off again, use some pure ethanol to clean the cpu and the heatsink and be generous with that thermal paste. if you see it coming out the side between the heatsink and the cpu, u have used enough.0
