I have an Acer Aspire SA85 (I know, it is an old machine) that worked well, but I wanted to clean all the information.  I tried to do a factory reset using the ERecovery Software, but it failed and now I can not re-install it.

It is an old computer, but I wanted to use it to run some older software.

Is there any way to recover it?

I guess this unit comes with windows XP. Please be informed Windows XP is no longer supported by any manufacturer. However, if you have working recovery disc you could reset the unit and use it but dont expect any updates as Microsoft has stopped services for Windows XP.

    The unit specs

    Acer Aspire SA85 - Celeron D 352, 256MB, 80GB, DVD-RW, Win XP Home 3.2 GHz Intel® Celeron® Tower PC

So, it becomes impossible to install windows 7 or any other latest versions.

If you think the erecovery software is working then create recovery media on to CD/DVD using this software and try to re-install the Operating system. This might help.
