    Hi @ashford1989

Below is the Solid State Drive specs & compatible SSD model officially recommended by Acer.

I recommend you to get any one of the above recommended SSD and have it installed in your computer and that should work.

What is your full spin 3 model number sp31?-??  . This particular nvme may not be backward compatible with a SATA3 2280 m.2  Jack E/NJ

Sorry. Your model has a SATA3 m.2 interface. While some nvme SSDs are backward compatible, this one apparently isn't. sx6000 description "*PCIe/NVMe is NOT compatible with SATA III interface – please check your system spec for SSD interface supported*"  Jack E/NJ

It's description is fairly clear in the ads. "*PCIe/NVMe is NOT compatible with SATA III interface – please check your system spec for SSD interface supported*" . I think you should try to return it ASAP. You're better off and safer getting a plain vanilla SATA3 m.2 2280 anyway. Even  nvme/pcie m.2 SSDs from Samsung and other big name brands that are supposed to be backward compatible sometimes have difficulty being recognized by SATA3 m.2 interfaces. And even if you can get them to work, they will work no faster than the SATA3 interface allows. Jack E/NJ
