Hello, I am a Aspire VN7-572G-57N0 Laptop users, a 2years + users. My laptop specification is I5 6200, GTX950.

So, the problem I am currently facing is the CPU Speed Cap problem, which only able to boost to 0.36GHz, i tried alot of way, changing the charger, motherboard, fans, thermal paste, or anything that i could do, i do sent repair to the headquarter in Malaysia Subang Highpoint centre 4Times. This make me feel very disappointed about Acer After Sales Services. I gave a lot of chances to the service centre. I do sent 4 Times as i mentioned above, but the problem still exist and cause very difficult for me to do my assignment, by the way im a student. The laptop repair 4times, each time cost 1-2months. But fix nothing.

Therefore, Im here to complaint about the services i received from the headquarters and the poor repair services as well, and seeking for some advice from quality users, manager, person in charge, or even higher ranking employee.

Last but not least, if Acer After Sales Service really cant help me to fix the problem, at least you try to change a laptop for me, or may do any refund that may satisfy me.

You are posting your request on an ACER users forum. As ACER users, we are just like you and will try to help you solve your CPU speed cap problem by asking some questions.

Approximately when did you first notice the speed was capped to 0.36GHz? Jack E/NJ

Orh, so this is just Acer users forum? May i know how can i contact the HR department or any person in charge who can help me solve the problem, due to the repair services.

First notice is almost 1year + ago, then i sent repair. The technician told me is motherboard problem, so i changed 4 motherboards. Everytime done repair the problem occur within 2-3days. So this problem already stucked me for 1year + also. Hope you can help me settle this case. Thanks 😁

    (1) OK, about when did this happen with the 4th (or last) motherboard that was installed? (2) Do you know if your HDD was re-set to factory fresh state by the after sales service?  (3) You can either phonel or email this complaint to the contacts listed on the weblink https://www.acer.com/ac/en/IN/content/service-contact  Jack E/NJ

    1) It just happen very suddenly, when i just press the power button to start up, the fans speed will running weirdly that boost to highest speed (that you cn heard the spinning sound.) then the fans will goes quietly in 1-2mins. Then the CPU speed cap at 0.36-0.38GHz.

    2) Sorry im not sure about this. Will this be the main problem? And how can i check it?

    3) Okay, thanks for the link. 😁

The Bios file, im sure is the latest version, because i checked Acer manual drivers file, and my own laptop version, is same with the lstest update.

Moreover, I do send repair again, the TECHNICIAN called me and said it is a software problem, a simple format laptop would fixed the problem and charge rm130, but before send in, i do formatted before. But problem not fixed. Therefore, should i pay the rm130?

Right click on the Windows or Start menu in the taskbar. Click on System. Then System Protection in the left pane. Is system protection enabled? Jack E/NJ

OK. But check if system protection is enabled. The reason being that you said it initially worked for 1-2 days after a reset or repair. This suggests a Win10update might've been involved. If system protection is enabled, a restore point would've been created to get you back to where it was before the update. Then we can avoid the update until a fix from either Microsoft or ACER is forthcoming. Jack E/NJ

yeap, but the acer bios or any update already is 2years old. Therefore, i dont expect will received any update from Acer. So i will temporary use throttlestop to set the performance i expected.

Overall its good. You can set the performance you wish to get, and there are 3pages of settings for you, normal browsing, gaming, and high performance. No overheating issues found when using Throttlestop.
