This thing that is circled in the picture holding the gpu. What is that thing?

    I think it's to better hold the video card in the slot! Besides, it seems to me that it serves also help to improve the airflow on the video card! However I'm not sure about this!

    It's mostly to prevent vibration from the fans spinning on the video card. Without it you can get a buzzing sound.
